I had a decent stay at Comfort Hotel Hakata, largely thanks to its fantastic location right across from Hakata Station. The rooms were small and a bit dated, but they were generally clean, which made sleeping easy. The breakfast was a bit crowded and offered mostly Japanese dishes, so waking up early to beat the rush is a good idea. The staff was friendly and helpful, making my stay quite pleasant.
